POLITICAL PARTY
All persons in the Netherlands shall be treated equally in equal circumstances. Discrimination on the grounds of religion, belief, political opinion, race or gender or any grounds whatsoever shall not be permitted.
The Dutch political party BIJ1 is primarily inspired by this, the first article of the Dutch Constitution. Two pillars support their programme: radical equality and economic justice.
Sylvana Simons, known as a Dutch actress and television presenter, founded political party BIJ1. Burobraak created the BIJ1 logo and the bright and colourful identity. The BIJ1 color bars were created to represent the diversity of the people represented by the party. For the 2018 Amsterdam council election campaign and the 2021 national election campaign we created visual communications. In this years national election on March 21st, BIJ1 obtained their first seat in the Dutch House of Representatives. Sylvana Simons now is the first black female party leader in Europe to obtain a seat in the House of Representatives.
