PROJECT MANAGER & EXHIBITION DESIGNER

Nisala (they/she/he) is a multidisciplinary Sri Lankan designer and is driven by creating access to knowledge, enhancing spiritual connections, and empathetic exchanges. At BUROBRAAK they focus on project management, exhibition design, and graphic design. 

They have an educational background in Visual Art, Sociology, and Digital Design; and are motivated by post-colonial theory, de-digitization, and notions of Queer Utopia.   

Through their own work, and their work in BUROBRAAK, they aim to bridge the gaps between academia, community engagement, healing practices, and queer BIPOC political mobility. They believe that connection to community and care are essential ingredients in social change and successful revolution.
